Expression of Gratitude to SOTV for Generous Gift

After session voted to give Saranam a $20,000 portion of our 2025 surplus this was posted in the Saranam newsletter

“We’d like to say thank you to Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church for gifting Saranam a generous donation to be used for laptops, a shade structure, a greenhouse, among a couple other things for the families. These new laptops are already helping our new cohort in the classroom!”

Beyond this big monetary gift many of us have donated time, talent, and items to support families.

In-Kind Donations

SOTV filled welcome baskets and donated new and gently used household necessities. These gifts by individuals amounted to more than $2000.

Decorated Apartment #5

SOTV volunteers decorated and fully stocked a 4-bedroom apartment to welcome a mom and her three sons aged 10,12 & 14 so the family can comfortably begin a 2-year chapter in their lives through the stability, community and education offered at Saranam

Celebrating the Grand Opening

It was fun to listen to dignitaries, staff and a resident and then tour the completed campus – Education Classrooms, Administrative office, Donation center, Family Center and view an apartment

Pictures of Hope Program

Some of us mentored children from the East and West side campuses as they shared Hopes and Dreams, then accompanied them around Old Town as they tried to express their hopes and dreams through the camera lens. Their photos were displayed at the Art Museum.
