Message from Pastor

Our Session voted unanimously Friday evening, March 13, 2020 to suspend in-person worship services and all other in-person activities at the church effective immediately. We will continue to worship, be in ministry together and are shifting this Sunday to an online streaming service we will be doing collaboratively with sister congregations from the Presbytery of Santa Fe.  There will be no service at Shepherd of the Valley.

The livestream of the service will be at 9:30 am this Sunday, March 15th. If you prefer to worship at some other time you can still access a recording of the service then.

You can also dial in using your phone at 9:30am for an audio version if you do not have internet access.
(This option will not be available in a recorded format)

This is a time like few of us have experienced.  All of us are being asked to be calm, productive, smart, and prepared. As your Session and pastors we are exercising every effort possible to help all of us to do so. We are prioritizing your health, our congregation’s health, our staff’s health, and the health of our wider community. We are also leaning into this time as the place our ministry is needed.  In the coming days more information will be presented about these efforts and how all of you can be involved.

These are emerging efforts and initiatives that will evolve. For the time being the church office will be open and through this all we will continue to be the church.  This time of need is an opportunity for us to be the church in new ways.  We trust as ministry needs become apparent we will discover fresh and creative ways to engage together as the Body of Christ!

For now I invite you to join me in prayers for our world, our community and our church.  We are in the place Christ calls us to be and together we will continue to serve in His name.

Grace and Peace,
