Message from the Pastor

Today is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the season of Lent.  It is a day of personal reflection towards the end of focused dedication for the 40 days leading to Easter.  Today, at noon, we will be having a reflective service with the imposition of ashes.  I hope you will come and, even if you are not able to attend in person, I encourage you to pause at noon and reflect on this day.  In particular, I encourage you to reflect on and pray for the people of Ukraine.  On a day when we speak of earth and ashes it is sobering to remember that is their present reality.  The Pope has encouraged people to fast today and be mindfully in prayer for all that is happening.  I am grateful for his thoughtful call to prayerful action and extend the same to you.  Please consider how you will hold the gift of this Ash Wednesday and, if possible, join in our noontime service of worship.

Grace and peace, Tom
